perspective
alone;
it thought
it would be
in the midst of heavy rain
all alone
without a place to call home
nor to warm
its soul
that it died
all along;
it thought
it would be
but then when the rain ended
there came the rainbow
smiling
whispering,
"O thou who thinks thou suffer
shalt thou see the world
once more
and shalt thou be astonied
by the felicity
of the life thee live in."

"Life is a matter of perspective."
I tried to use archaic English in this poem, such as thou (means 'you', subject form), thee (means 'you', object form), shalt (means 'shall'), and astonied (means 'amazing', according to Wikipedia). Correct me if I am wrong, though! :)
